Conservatories – Specifications

Things to think about when choosing your conservatory:

Q. Do I need planning permission?
A. Not all conservatories need planning permission but check with your Local Authority before making any decisions.

Q. What kind of glazing do I need?
A. See glazing options

Q. A dwarf wall or full-length glass walls?
A. Full-length glass walls can look stunning but they can also restrict your choice of furniture. Think about what you want to use your conservatory for, and the site, before making up your mind. We supply toughened glass for the full-length glass walls.

Q. What kind of finial and cresting can I have?
A. We have a full range of options available.

Q. How many opening windows should I have?
A. Think about balancing the number of fixed and opening windows to maximise ventilation and to make your conservatory as flexible as possible.

Q. How about roof ventilation?
A. A roof vent can make your conservatory easier to ventilate, but there are other options. See Conservatory Options for more information. Our trained staff can help you make your decision when they visit your site.

Q. How about the floor?
A. Depending on your requirements, we can provide a range of floor options, including a concrete, suspended or wooden flooring.

Q. Can TWB build my conservatory?
A. Yes, we can do as much or as little of the construction work as you like.
